It is a generally accepted fact that exercise burns calories and can increase overall body and mind health. Most of us also recognize that walking is one of the easiest and most effective weight loss and health exercises. What many people don't realize is that they may not get the most effective return on their efforts. In fact, it only takes a little bit of walking planning to make it more effective as a weight loss program.
Many specialists recommend at least 30 minutes of sustained physical activity each day for good health. However, 30 minutes of walking a day, while it may initially lead to some weight loss and a significant welcome for an overweight person, will often not be the final answer. Initial results for weight loss are probably not sustainable as the body adjusts and learns to accept the new demands created on it.
Rest assured, walking (or engaging in other activities) for 30 minutes a day will lead to better health, greater energy and well-being as well as some weight loss. However, anyone who is seriously overweight will probably not lose a steady and permanent weight loss for just 30 minutes a day.
It's a matter of time.
Given the way the body stores stored fat against other stored energy stores, the first and most valuable step, once you get used to walking, is to increase the amount of time you work out. Forty-five minutes is better than 30 minutes and 60 minutes is better than 45 minutes.

However, you can get as much runner as you can with the very dangerous dangers of injury. In particular, a starting walker will feel less uncomfortable during and after a training session than a starting runner.
After building muscle and endurance, you may want to switch to a running program. Also, at the start of any exercise program, whether for weight loss or physical fitness, overwhelming body demands and physical, mental, and motivational resources may lead to reduced exercise. It is generally easier than running a program to a permanent hiking program than a sedentary lifestyle.
